Carried More Than Most

I spent 12 years in the British Army. Structure, purpose, a team that had my back — all of it was built into every single day for me, and I never had to think about how I'd hold myself together.

Then I left. And without the uniform, the routine and the rank, everything I'd leaned on disappeared. I didn't know it yet, but the reason I'd always felt like I was fighting my own head had a name — ADHD. I was diagnosed after I left service, in my thirties.

The next three years were the rebuild. Not a transformation photo — a grind. Learning how my brain actually works, building systems flexible enough to survive a bad day, and refusing to accept that the way I was wired was a defect.

Today I'm a mental health nurse in the NHS, a dad, and the founder of The Everyday Warrior — because a framework that put one life back together shouldn't stay locked in one head.

I built this for the person who carries more than most.
